for a young ensemble by Aileen Wen McGroddy
About The Nose
This play was adapted from Nikolai Gogol’s short story about a man whose nose mysteriously detaches and has its own life in a class-stratified St. Petersberg. Created for an ensemble of young actors at Mudlark Theatre in Evanston, IL, this production emphasized Gogol’s love for the grotesque, the absurd, and the surreal.
