The Tempest
by William Shakespeare
adapted by Aileen Wen McGroddy
About The Tempest
This Tempest was built to meet its audience of local middle and high school students. A 90-minute cut played by five actors, it centered on the temptation of tyranny, our capacity to dream new worlds, and the wild, ephemeral joy of seeing a play. With live music (by Gunnar Manchester and Hannah Van Sciver), dance (by Jessica Smith), and rowdy puppetry, this production was a whirlwind journey in which the audience was a key player.
