(Medea)*
by Euripides, in a new adaptation devised by the ensemble
*Cancelled due to COVID-19
About (Medea)
This Brown-Trinity Rep production was cancelled in its second week of rehearsal due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we were able to share a semi-improvised version of the work in an open studio showing right before the shutdown. The incomplete process is documented at Lost Works, along with other projects cut short in response to the virus.
This Medea was created by a collision of the company with multiple translations and not-translations, other resonant literature, and actor-generated text. We were excavating a story of Medea as a woman at war, and we are not finished telling it.
